Confirmation. What does that mean?
Recently I found myself in a situation completely out of my control. There were questions swirling around my mind when God miraculously provided a profound confirmation.
After a serious fall, I was in the hospital waiting on a shoulder replacement. My husband was texting with our close friend Kris, a Master level nurse, whose daughter Beth is an orthopedic surgical nurse in Wesley Chapel.
Beth sent word through her mother that we should consider a medical transfer over to Wesley Chapel for my shoulder replacement. Her reasoning was based on a phenomenal orthopedic trauma surgeon that she worked with, and she felt it would be worth the effort to have her perform my surgery.
We weighed the idea and decided it was just too far of a drive. We decided to sit tight at Lakeland Regional and proceed with the surgery on May 19 with Dr. Wortham.
As my husband continued texting with Kris, he learned that the highly regarded surgeon at Wesley Chapel was Dr. Wortham! Unbelievable. I told my husband this was Gods confirmation that I was in the right place, specifically with the trauma surgeon he placed in my path to repair my shoulder. I felt peace, knowing with certainty that God cares about every single hair on our head, and all details of our lives.
I also just learned that Dr. Wortham is the orthopedic surgeon for our close friend Walt. He called after reading my blog post last week when I mentioned her. He questioned who she was, discovering it was the same person. He has been with her for over two years and believes she is exceptional. This was another confirmation that I was with the right doctor.
Sometimes we wonder if we are making the right decision or not, but if we listen to the Holy Spirit speaking to our hearts and minds, more often than not, we will know the answer.
I’ve been home for eleven days and in all honesty progress is slow. Regaining my strength is the first step I’m focusing on, along with my physical therapy. I’m working hard to keep the right mindset, which isn’t always easy because this situation is overwhelming.
As for this blog, I am using talk to text in my notes and then sending it to my email, and I copy and paste it into Substack. There may be an easier way. I’ll figure that out later. Many thanks for your encouraging prayers and messages, they keep me going. You readers are a wonderful blessing in my life.
So, to circle back to our topic, I believe confirmation is reinforcing what you feel God is leading you to do. He may confirm it through a word, people, scripture, songs, and through our prayers and meditation.
Don’t miss seeing the confirmations that God provides.

Amen. Confirmations come in so many ways so let us all reflect each day on how, when and why God answers our prayers. So thankful you are doing so well..
Wonderful reflection on a negative circumstance. You are right about the confirmations I experienced one myself today. I pray you heal quickly.
